A grab bag holds things you need. You take it if you leave home quickly. Pack it now.
Pack a bag
- Bottled water.
- Snacks.
- A torch.
- Your medicines.
- Copies of important papers.
- Some cash.
- Phone numbers on paper.
- Your phone charger.
- Warm clothes.
Get ready
- Sign up for free flood warnings.
- Keep your bag near the door.
If a flood is coming
- Move special things upstairs.
- Turn off gas, electricity and water. Only do this if it is safe.
- Never walk through flood water.
- Never drive through flood water.
- Call Floodline on 0345 988 1188. They give flood warnings and advice.
- Call 999 if you are in danger.
